Case Study T0-Do List sign-in and personalization
Project Summary
The project is to understand the initial set-up process that users go through when using apps. The goal of the project is to enhance the user experience during their initial use of the app, which are setting up an account and personalization. The use and testing of other apps help demonstrate the standard way of how other apps help their users during the initial phase. From the reading of reviews by other apps help indicate some of the pros and cons of what is require in apps.

Student at St. Edward's University Minoring in UX design. My role for this project was to test multiple of apps and understand why people are using the apps. Next I would create a wireframe that demonstrate the process of how the apps is used.

Research
To understand the way apps are made I made a competitive landscape map by looking at other apps and seeing how they are made and the similarities and differences between them. The apps chosen for testing were ColorNote, TickTick, Taskade, and A+ Mobile.
Define
The define section is to understand the potential user who will be using the app. This is done by reading the reviews left by the users from the competitive landscape. To understand the users I created a proto-persona for the educated guess on the potential user.
The Challenge
One of the problem that users encounter when making their account for the app is that the setting to make personalization is not always clear or how to get there. Another problem is that sign-in for some app are limited to google account which some people may use Yahoo instead. The example below is an app Called Notepad
Solution
After finding the problem I think of ways to fix the issue by creating a storyboard that draft my idea of the process of how the users will navigate the app for the sign-in and personalization section of the app
